OUR PROJECT: A SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP

The main focus of our project will be to create a museum within our school that will introduce the children to all European Union countries. Pupils from participating schools ( will research and create work on the main historical, geographical, environmental, economic and cultural aspects of each country and display these for all to see. Art work, models, documents, CD roms and web-pages will also be created and displayed as part of the museum project. A large physical map will be created, displaying names of countries, cities, flags and famous landmarks. Students will be in constant contact through e-mail and post and they will exchange work for inclusion in the European museum. A European Day will be celebrated by all participating schools, with various cultural events taking place. During staff visits, visiting teachers will spend time teaching children of the school about their country and area. ‘European Citizen’ Clubs will be formed for pupils, which they can join as an extra-curricular activity and continue with their work and research about Europe. We believe that this will be an exciting and stimulating project that all children will benefit from and will foster respect and understanding of each others countries and cultures.

NUESTRO PROYECTO: UNA SOCIEDAD ESCOLAR
El foco principal de nuestro proyecto será crear un museo dentro de nuestros colegios el cual presentará a los niños a los países de Unión Europea. Los alumnos de los colegios participantes investigarán y crearán trabajos sobre los aspectos históricos, geográficos, ambientales, económicos y culturales principales de cada país y serán mostrados para que todos los puedan ver. Se crearán también trabajos artísticos, maquetas, documentos, CDs y páginas Web, los cuales serán así mismo exhibidos y difundidos como parte del nuestro proyecto común. Se creará un mapa físico, mostrando los nombres de países, ciudades, banderas, etc. Los estudiantes estarán en constante contacto por correo electrónico; de esta manera podrán intercambiar su trabajo para su inclusión en el museo Europeo. Se celebrarará un DIA EUROPEO en todos los colegios participantes, con múltiples acontecimientos culturales. Se formarán "Clubes de Ciudadanos Europeos" para aquellos alumnos que puedan unirse a nuestro proyecto, realizando trabajos e investigación sobre Europa en actividades extraescolares. Estamos seguros de que será un proyecto excitante y estimulante del que todos los alumnos se beneficiarán y reforzará el respeto y entendimiento de los otros países y culturas.

PROJEMİZ: OKUL ORTAKLIĞI

Projemizin en temel amacı okulumuz içerisinde öğrencilerimize tüm Avrupa Birliği ülkelerini tanıtacak bir müze hazırlamaktır. Katılımcı okulların öğrencileri her biri kendi ülkelerinin tarihsel, kültürel, ekonomik, sosyal değerleri hakkında bir araştırma yapacaklar ve bunu bize sunacaklar. Resim çalışmaları, modeller, dokümanlar, CD’ler ve web sayfaları hazırlanacak ve müze projemizin bir parçası olarak sergilenecek. Büyük bir fiziki harita oluşturulacak, ülkelerin isimleri, şehirleri, bayrakları ve sınır işaretleri sergilenecek. Öğrenciler internet yoluyla ya da mektup yoluyla birbirleriyle iletişim halinde olacak.
Avrupa Birliği Müzesi kapsamında çalışmalarını değiş tokuş yapacaklar. Avrupa Günü ( A European Day) değişik kültürel olayların da yer aldığı bir kutlamayla tüm katılımcı okullar tarafından kutlanacak. Tüm personelin ziyareti boyunca misafir öğretmenler çocuklara ülkeleri ve yaşadıkları yer hakkında bilgi verecekler.
Öğrencilerin ders dışı etkinlik olarak katılabilecekleri ve Avrupa ile ilgili çalışmalarını yürütebilecekleri Avrupa Birliği Ülkeleri Vatandaşlığı Kulübü oluşturulacak. Biz inanıyoruz ki bu Proje çocukların yararlanabilecekleri ve birbirlerinin ülkelerine ve kültürlerine karşılıklı saygı ve anlayış oluşturabilecekleri heyecan verici ve teşvik edici bir proje olacaktır.
Bu proje üç Avrupa Okulu tarafından yürütülmektedir.

WHO WAS COMENIUS?
Jan Amos Komenský, in Latin language Comenius. (Moravia, 28th/March/1592 - Amsterdam, 15th/November/1670) was a theologian, philosopher and pedagogue born in the current Czech Republic. He was a cosmopolitan and universal man convinced in the important role of the education in the development of the man. The work that gave him reputation all over Europe and it is considered as the most important is "Magna Didactics", and his first edition appeared in the year 1679. He gave real importance to the study of the languages and created a work called "Door Opened for the Languages".
He is known as the Father of Pedagogics, since he was who structured it as an autonomous science and established its first fundamental principles. In his work ¨The New Realities ¨, Peter Drucker enhances the stand of Comenius as the inventor of the TEXTBOOK, in an attempt of encouraging the autonomy of the training process to prevent the catholic government to eliminate completely the Protestantism in the Czech Republic. "If people read the Bible at home, they will not be able to make a mistake" This was Comenius' thought


¿QUIÉN FUE COMENIUS?
Jan Amos Komenský, en latín Comenius. (Moravia, 28 de marzo de 1592 - Amsterdam, 15 de Noviembre de 1670) fue un teólogo, filósofo y pedagogo nacido en la actual República Checa. Fue un hombre cosmopolita y universal, convencido del importante papel de la educación en el desarrollo del hombre. La obra que le dio fama por toda Europa y es considerada como la más importante es Didáctica Magna, y su primera edición apareció en el año de 1679. Le dio real importancia al estudio de las lenguas y creó una obra llamada Puerta Abierta a las Lenguas.Se le conoce como el Padre de la Pedagogía, ya que fue quien la estructuró como ciencia autónoma y estableció sus primeros principios fundamentales. En su obra “Las Nuevas Realidades”, Peter Drucker realza la posición de Comenius como el inventor del LIBRO DE TEXTO, en un intento de incentivar la autonomía del proceso formativo para evitar que el gobierno católico eliminara del todo al protestantismo en la República Checa.”Si la gente lee la Biblia en casa, no podrán confundirse" Este fue el pensamiento de Comenius.

KOMENSKY KİMDİR?
Jan Amos Komensky Latince’de Comenius ( Moravia, 28 Mart 1592- Amsterdam 15 Kasım 1670) Şu anki Çek Cumhuriyet’inde doğan, bir ilahiyatçı, filozof ve pedagogdur. İnsanlığın gelişmesinde eğitimin önemli bir rolü olduğuna inanan kozmopolitan, tüm evrene mal olmuş değerli bir kişidir. En iyi olarak bilinen ve tüm Avrupa’da ona bu ünü veren eser “Manga Didactics” dir. İlk basımı 1679 yılında yapılmıştır. Dil çalışmalarına gerçekten çok değer vermiş, “Door Opened for the Languages” adında bir eser yaratmıştır.
Kendi kendini yöneten özerk bir bilimi inşa ettiği ve ilk önemli prensiplerini belirlediği için eğitim bilimin babası olarak bilinir.
The New Realities ( Yeni Gerçekler) isimli çalışmasında kaynak kitabın ( Textbook) yazarı olarak Comenius çalışmalarını arttırdı. Bunu yapmasındaki amaç Çek Cumhuriyetindeki Protestanlığı tamamen ortadan kaldırma çabasında olan Katolik Hükümetini önlemek için eğitim sürecinin özerk hale gelmesini desteklemekti.“Eğer insanlar evlerinde Kutsal Kitab’ı okurlarsa, hata yapmayacaklardır.” Bu Comenius’un görüşüydü.

COMENIUS PROJECT—EU MUSEUM

One year ago (August 2008) a new adventure started for 3 Schools in Europe: Turkey, Latvia and Spain.
Students of these three schools have become members of an European Comenius project: EU MUSEUM, which is a big value for everyone who is willing to be participating in it, especially in the improvement of study referredto to our European history and, to participating countries history in particular.
The project work of the last school year (2007-2008) was to be shared at joint project meetings in Karaman (Turkey) and in Liepaja (Latvia). National coordinators, next to teachers and students, travelled to meet others who were working on similar tasks, hoping to get acquainted with positive experience as well as possible difficulties the others had to cope with.
But, maybe our students have never heard of an European Agency which got its name after a famous teacher from Czech Republic called Jan Ámos Komenský.So, from my point of view, it will be very interesting for all actors participating in this project--teachers, students, coordinators, social actors--, to know something about him.

Hace ahora un año (August 2008) una nueva aventura comenzó para 3 Colegios de Europa: Turquía, Letonia y España.
Estudiantes de estos tres países han llegado a formar parte de un proyecto europeo Comenius:EU MUSEUM, el cual tiene un gran valor para todo el mundo que esté dispuesto a participar en él, especialmente en la mejora del estudio con respecto a nuestra historia de Europa y, referida a la historia de los países participantes en particular.
El trabajo del proyecto durante el pasado año escolar (2007-2008) consistió en compartir ideas, trabajos, puntos de vista didáctico en reuniones , las cuales fueran llevadas a cabo en Karaman (Turquía) y en Liepaja (Letonia). Los coordinadores nacionales, junto con profesores y alumnos, viajaron para conocer a los otros socios quienes trabajan en tareas similares, esperando poder familiarizarse con experiencias positivas así como las posibles dificultades que los otros pudieran encontrarse.
Pero quizás nuestros alumnos nunca han oído hablar de una Agencia Europea que obtuvo su nombre de un famoso profesor checo llamado Jan Ámos Komenský.Por lo cual, bajo mi punto de vista, será muy intersante para todos los participantes en este proyecto--- profesores, alumnos, coordinadores, actores sociales----, conocer algo sobre él.

Bir yıl önce ( Ağustos 2008) Avrupa’daki üç okul için yeni bir macera başladı. Bu ülkeler Türkiye, Letonya ve İspanya. Bu üç okulun öğrencileri Avrupa Birliği Comenius projesinin birer üyesi oldular. Bu projeye katılmaya istekli olan özellikle çalışmaların ilerlemesine katkıda bulunan herkes için büyük bir değer teşkil eden Avrupa Birliği Müzesi, kendi tarihimize ve katılımcı ülkelerin tarihlerine kısmen kaynaklık eder.
Geçen okul yılındaki proje çalışması (2007-2008) Karaman ( Türkiye) ve Liepaja (Letonya) daki ortak proje toplantılarıyla paylaşıldı. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerin yanı sıra katılımcılar diğerlerinin uğraşmak zorunda kaldıkları olası zorlukların yanı sıra olumlu deneyimlerden de haberdar olmayı umarak aynı görevler üzerine çalışan insanları ziyaret ettiler.
Öğrencilerimiz, adını Çek Cumhuriyetinden ünlü bir öğretmen olan Jan A’mos Komensky’den alan Ulusal Ajansı belki de hiç duymadılar. Bu yüzden, projeye katılan herkes için, onun hakkında biraz bilgi sahibi olmak çok yerinde olacaktır.
